- Day 18: No Racing-IC Nationals. An excellent IC Nationals at Larchmont. Breezy and cold but Annapolis ICers did respectably: Hal-10th, Wayne-13th, Jesse-27th, Alex-29th, Eric-34th.
- Day 17: No Racing. Just plain raw. After a string of 60 and 70 degree weather days, no one could face the 40 derees, rain and 15-20 from the NE.
- Day 16: Alex and Nancy finally bring out the can of WhupA**! A really nice day, sunny and 65 degrees with 5-12 knots from the SSE-SSW. Breeze was shifty and puffy but not the autotacking madness of the winter NWers.
- Day 15: No Breeze. No Racing. Lots of Drinking.
- Day 14: Wayne/Barb pretty much lock up the season. It was a wild NWer with breeze 5-20+, but sunny and nearly 60 degrees with really phenomenal sailing. Also see Wayne's report from last week.
- Day 13: Wayne solidifies his lead. Sunday was the kind of day that got Wayne to move to Annapolis, Sunny 50 and breezy from the NW. It showed, Wayne and Lorie Stout sailed well to take the day.
- Day 12: One word: Fawgeddaboutit. We're almost completely locked in with ice, it's pouring and the wind is just starting to howl, as gale wanings are forecast.
- Day 11: Storm of 2003. We had about 25" of snow. Needless to say, we didn't sail, nor could we even move a car....
- IC Midwinters The weather cleared up after a quick 8" of snow for two days of great sailing.
- Day 10: Wayne/Lorie just edge out Jesse/Lynn in a perfect Annapolis frostbite day. Now that's more like it! A shifty northwester with bright sunshine and temperatures around 40. Real midwinters weather!
- Day 9: No capsizing for Jesse and Wilson this week to win a day. The weather broke a bit and after busting out the ice from the basin on Saturday we had a nice day in the upper 30s, with light a S breeze.
- Day 8: Bryan and Lorie inch out Wayne and Barb. A brutally cold day, but otherwise great sailing conditions. Other than that Mrs. Lincoln how'd you like the play?
- Day 7: Wayne and Barb squeak one out over Eric and Kim. A cold day, but nice shifty conditions.
- Day 6: Hal Gilreath and Aimee take another with 1's and 4's. A very snowy day, big turnout, go figure. See Hal's report for the details.
- Day 5: Hal Gilreath sailing with an SSA junior are consistent. The day was kind of a wierd 5-15 knot westerly with 40 degree shifts and hugh pressure variations, but it yielded very interesting racing.
- Day 4: Eric Reinke and Kim Couranz take another. Beer on the water seems to give them smarts and speed; either that or or maybe it was the season debut of Kim's Pom Pom Girl Boots! The warm day was a nice change to the unseasonably cold start to the season.
- Day 3: Eric Reinke and Kim Couranz take the day. Despite the very light breeze and a 180 degree shift half way through the day, the racing was pretty good.
- Day 2: Whimped, uh, I mean blown out. It was sunny and cold (38 degrees) and Gale warnings were posted by NOAA, however with the median WNW breeze about 15-20 and a course stuck up under the Naval Academy sea wall it was (probably) sailable. The lasers went out, but after watching Luke Shingledecker (the fleet captain) capsize a few times right out of the basin, I (Alex) didn't feel too bad about bailing (sorry Wayne and Mergs; you guys have brass ones).
- Day 1: Wayne Pignolet and Barb Evans take the day. A beautiful start to the season in a shifty 5-10 knot westerly, 55 degrees and sunny.
- The Season Schedule is now posted. Please contact Carl to reserve your RC/Safety Boat Day. We prefert that fleet members with RC experience sign up for RC rather than safety boat.
