TESOD – 6/1 ‘The Hole’

It was like the gods were finally on our side last night as the t-storms parted and made a hole for TESOD to proceed while the surrounding counties got blasted. So, it finally looked like a typical TESOD night on the water with ~ 40 boats on the course with the usual Chesapeake evening shifting/dying breeze. The RC left the dock with an 8 knot northerly which eventually became a dying southerly. The 2 fleets completed 3 races and finally abandoned the finish line on the last race to head in for some land social time.

JT and Tom Sitzman with Doug Palmer ended up bottomed out on the RC anchor line in attempts to keep the line square while Nan, Doug Corner and Ray Sullivan were busy constantly moving marks around the world to the right.

Final fleet tallies were:

Lasers 22
Snipe 4
V15 3
Jet 14 4
Lightning 2
420 4
Total 39

Next Week – PRO James McKenna - First Gun at 6pm with Blue Skies, Wind, and Full Race Course!

We are still looking for volunteer RC help so contact Nan at office@severnsailing.org if you can help out at least one night.
