SailGP is a new racing league based on a one-design version of the AC50 foiling catamaran called the F50. Each of the six teams will represent one country. SailGP will utilize short-format, inshore stadium racing to maximize impact and excitement. Each grand prix will include two competition days featuring a total of five fleet races leading to a final match race between the two leaders. Points will be accumulated in each race throughout the season, culminating with a final match race between the top two teams for the SailGP Championship, with a USD $1 million purse and trophy presented to the winning team

SSA is hosting a viewing party for the inaugural SailGP races in Sydney Australia. Day 2 of racing will be live-streamed to the SSA clubhouse on Friday, February 15 from 11:00pm to 1:00am. We’ll replay the Day 1 racing beforehand, at 8:30pm. All members are welcome; please register above so we know you are coming!

Catch the Day 1 live-stream in the SailGP app (iOS) on Thursday, February 14 from 11:59pm to 2am. Please get in touch with Carlos Linares if you have questions.

SSA Racing

Most weekends--and many weeknights--around the year, there's some sort of one-design racing happening out of Severn Sailing Association. Check out the calendar to see what's going on these days!

SSA Junior Program

SSA runs a year-round program to develop skills and a lifelong love of sailing in our younger sailors. A summer program and fall and spring high school sailing programs are just the tip of the iceberg.
