The lightning class had a great turnout for Summer Series with 8 boats on the race course for 5 races over 2 days.

We shared the course with Solings and Thistles. On the first day, we had light conditions and managed to squeeze in 3 races before the wind died at the end of race 3! Race Committee was quick to tow us back in. On the second day, we fit in 2 more races with heavier wind, and the “Annapolis bubble” kept us safe from the Thunderstorm while we headed back to the dock. All in all, for the end of the July, we lucked out with great wind.

  • 1st place Here We R  Bill Cabrall, LeAnn Myhre & Jessica (6 points)

  • 2nd place Spaghetti Amanda Dame (1st time skipper!) and 1st time Bullet in Race 3!!!! (12 points)

  • 3rd place Storming The Castle Jim Lane, Jeff Daigle & Eleanor Cowes (20 points)
